Tutu Aina-Mays
Tecnis Academy began out of Tutu's interest in teaching children and supporting them to develop their confidence in their academic work.
Tecnis Academy started as a one person team visiting students, homes to provide 1-1 tuition, this often involved driving from one house to the other with her then baby daughter (Now 9 years old) strapped on her back. At one point, she was visiting 20 homes in a week. In 2016, she made a decision to invite all my students to a small office space that she rented. 18 out of the 20 students followed me to the small office at the time.
We grew from a small office to 4 centres across Kent after which the COVID pandemic hit. Tecnis Academy moved all tuition services to virtual tuition during the pandemic and we have not looked back since then. Tecnis Academy now helps to improve learning for over 2,000 students across 10 countries and we work hard to improve the quality of our students’ learning experience every day. We provide regular free webinars and Live Talks offering Parents advice on the UK Educational System and Processes as well as free tips and tricks to help our students become high achievers in their academics.

Now, with his son moving into a bungalow, just three miles from the family home means that Charles and his wife Tina will no longer have to travel long journeys twice a week, each of almost one hundred miles to visit their son.
More importantly, with Chris settled into his new home and with fantastic carers to look after him Charles and Tina will have the opportunity to be parents once again. A strange statement to many but when you have read this book you will understand where most of the hours of every day have been spent.

Published by charity Diagrama Foundation in conjunction with the Monument Fellowship, this book opens important dialogue about much needed changes to youth justice in the UK. It is a collaboration of work with a foreword from John Bird, Baron Bird MBE, founder of The Big Issue and member of the House of Lords.
